After-School Program
2023/2024 School Year!
ACTION Martial Arts is thrilled to welcome you to our After School Program! This program has been uniquely designed to facilitate developmentally appropriate growth in kids’ physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills. We focus on creating a safe and nurturing environment where your child can be themselves while progressing toward their highest potential. Our program serves children in grades K through 8, with our oldest members gaining valuable character development opportunities as Leaders in Training. .
ACTION has recently completed a martial arts certification course, which licensed us to be a Skillz Integrated Child Development Center! This means we have worked hard and passed a challenging course for the greater-good of the studio – and our personal lives! Completing this course gives us access to thousands of brand-new tools, teaching resources, and networking among other martial arts studios, after-school programs and summer camp programs! It also gives us an overall reboot of the way we had our programs set up in the past! We are so excited to go into 2024 with a vision of the program, and a way for everything to be more intentional in the way we work with our campers!

We target growth in the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social areas. We are intentional in creating the best environment to allow our students the chance to grow, succeed, and excel in every area of their lives.
Membership OptionsACTION After School Program offers three membership options: full year 5 days, full year partial week, or per-week/drop-in. Registration is available on a rolling basis for all options and any child is welcome to join the program at any point during the school year as long as there is space available. Spots are given on a first-come, first-served basis. If we are at capacity, you can request to join our waitlist. Additionally, current participants can switch their membership level at any time by providing written notice. There is a one-time registration fee of $50 for each child to join the program.

- All Year After-School Program – $125/week: If you know your child will be attending our after-school program for 5 days a week for the entire school year, this option is for you!
Weekly tuition payments of only $125 per week are collected every Monday.
*This membership may be canceled any time with a two week written notice.*
- Whole Week Drop-In After School Program – $150/week: Perfect for families that want to attend the ACTION After-School Program on a week by week basis. With this option, you can choose the weeks your child will attend our program. You are eligible to upgrade to ACTION’s “All Year ASP” membership at any time during the year and receive discounted tuition!
Tuition payments of $150/ week are collected each Monday that your child attends.
- Partial Week After-School Program – $35/day: This option is perfect for families that want to attend the ACTION After-School Program but will not be attending 5 days each week. With this option, you can choose to attend 1-4 days per week. You are eligible to upgrade to ACTION’s “All Year ASP” membership at any time during the year and receive discounted tuition!
Tuition payments are collected each Monday that your child attends for the amount of days selected for that week.
*50% off tuition for the 3rd child and beyond for all membership options
Field Trips
Throughout the year, ACTION After School Program will take advantage of local businesses and outdoor spaces for exercise and enrichment experiences. This may at times include activities that will incur an additional cost. When such occasions arise we will communicate this in advance and use a portion of your tuition fee to offset the total price.
Hours of OperationNormal Hours:
During regular school days ACTION After School Program hours are from 2:30 – 5pm, Monday through Friday. We offer extended hours through 6pm Monday – Friday at no additional cost.Early Release, Teacher Institute Days, School Closures:
We are in ongoing communication with the local public school districts, and will provide care at no additional cost during days when schools are closed for early release, teacher institutes/professional development, or pre-scheduled nonattendance days. During these instances, our facility will provide care from 7:30am to 6pm.
Transportation
Action After School Program collaborates with local school districts to coordinate transportation from school campuses to the ACTION Martial Arts facility. When transportation is not provided/available through the district, we will do our best to provide bussing to our facility. This will be dependent on timing, numbers, and staff availability.While participating in ACTION After School Program activities, children will occasionally be transported to local outdoor play spaces and businesses for the purpose of entertainment and enrichment opportunities. When appropriate, notification of these off-campus excursions will be provided to parents in a timely fashion.We are currently available to transport children from District 75 & District 73 back to ACTION Martial Arts. We may have more schools added to this list as spots are reserved!District 76 partners with our program to transport children directly from school to our facility.

4:00 – 4:55 / Tu & Th Fitness & Team Building Games
M, W, & F Indoor/Outdoor Games or Field Trip (per weather)
4:55 – 6:00 / Kid Cave
Participation in Martial Arts Inspired Fitness
All participants in the After School Program have the opportunity to partake in fitness classes two times each week. We encourage all children to take advantage of this fun, character-building experience. Children who opt out of our fitness program due to injury, illness, or otherwise will be given alternate activities.Fitness class instruction will take place on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for all interested students. Any associated costs of participation in this program are included in the price of tuition.
